Why businesses choose me
You have absolutely nailed this – it looks exactly like the XD designs I sent over and I couldn’t be happier. This is, by quite some margin, the most complete first draft of a site I think we’ve ever had when working with a developer.

About me

For more than 30 years I have been plying my trade as a developer. Back in the early days this was in computer based training and multimedia. Then along came the internet and as a result I moved into building websites.
In 2012 I decided to set up my own web development business. Operating as a sole trader, my vision was to use collaboration with other professionals (freelancers, sole traders and small businesses) to offer a full service that can rival more ‘traditional’ agencies at a lower cost.
I love to collaborate with designers and marketing professionals and have had the pleasure of working with, and delivering projects for, a number of different agencies. Forming long-lasting partnerships is a cornerstone of my business and I do that by focusing on customer service, as well as excellence in the quality of the websites that I build.
On the technical side, my skillset is continually evolving in what is a fast moving industry. But the core skills never go out of fashion; HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Php and WordPress form the foundations of what I offer. In addition to this are skills such as project analysis and costing, website performance optimisation, website security and project management.

As long as the NDA is in plain English, doesn’t require a solicitor to decipher, and doesn’t compromise my existing business relationships, then yes.
Sorry but I don’t provide this sort of service. I am an independent business rather than a contractor that works within other organisations.
I don’t provide face-to-face training. But I will provide support and advice via telephone and email during the build, and also post launch if you purchase one of my maintenance plans.
If you are not familiar with using WordPress to edit your website content then I will provide some basic guidance in this regard for you, where required.
SEO (search engine optimisation) has many factors to it. Some are technical in nature, such as how your website is built. Some are off-site influences, such as back-links to your website. And some are related to your website content.
While I do ensure that the technical aspects of the build follow best practice and that your web pages have meta tags filled in, I do not provide other kinds of SEO services as standard (such as SEO for your copywriting). If you are interested in search engine optimisation for your website content please discuss with me and I may be able to refer you to a trusted supplier.
My preference is for designs to be supplied in either Adobe XD or Photoshop format. However other formats may be possible. Please discuss with me and will endeavour to find a solution that suits us both.
I am a freelance website developer operating as a sole trader.
Yes. Typically this is 35% of the quoted cost, but may be higher depending on the project requirements.
Yes, though there may be some limitations depending on how the site was originally constructed. I would need to carry out an assessment of the websites codebase to see how I can help you, and determine what barriers to maintenance might exist.
1. You provide me with a website brief
Ideally this should include a sitemap and the functional requirements for the website. If you are not sure what questions to ask your client then I can help you with this.
2. I provide you with a written quotation
I will analyse the project requirements, determine solutions where required, and provide you with a quote for the work.
3. You make a booking by paying a deposit
If you are happy to proceed with my quote then you pay the deposit to secure a booking in my schedule.
4. You supply the designs and content
Prior to the scheduled start date for the build of the website, you supply all of the digital assets to me.
5. Production of the website takes place
The website will be built on my server and, once ready, I will provide you with access.
6. You review the website and make amends
During the review phase you will work with your client to make any final amendments.
7. The website is published
Once sign-off is received, the website is migrated to the client’s server and made live.
